Product Description
72029 is a textile silicone softener containing diamino functional group, which can provide most fabrics with soft and smooth hand feeling.
It is suitable for all kinds of knitted and woven fabrics.

Instruction
- It is suitable for padding and dipping process.
- It is amino silicone oil. It cannot be directly used on fabrics. So it has to be emulsified before applying on textiles. It is easy to emulsify with normal equipment and process. For specific fabrics, please dilute it to the best concentration.
- Please prepare all the chemicals before making the working solution.
- It is recommended to use softening water (deionized water) to dilute. If no softening water (deionized water), please make a stability test before making the working solution.
- Emulsifying Method:
- Formulation (about 20% microemulsion):
Amino Silicone Oil 72029: 100
Emulsifier: 20 (Mixture of nonionic surfactants BASF To-5/To-7 is commonly used.)
Acetic acid + Water 1: 1 + 50 (Dissolve the acetic acid in the water.)
Water 2: 230
(Add preservatives if necessary)
Total: 401 parts
- Emulsifying Process:
- Stir Silicone Oil 72029 evenly and then use.
- Put Silicone Oil 72029 and Emulsifier into the reaction kettle and stir it fully for 10 minutes, until it is evenly.
- Slowly add Acetic acid + Water 1 and stir it fully and evenly for 20 minutes.
- Add about 1/10 Water 2 and stir it fully for 10 minutes. (If it becomes hard gel, add a small amount of water to ensure that it is thoroughly mixed.)
- Add about 1/10 Water 2 and stir it fully for 10 minutes.
- Add about 2/10 Water 2 and stir it fully for 5 minutes.
- Add about 2/10 Water 2 and stir it fully for 5 minutes.
- Add the rest Water 2 and stir it fully for 5 minutes.
- Place it for defoam and filter. Adjust the pH value to 5~6 by a proper amount of acetic acid. The transparent microemulsion is obtained.
- Softening Process:
- Padding Process:
For light and thin fabric, reference dosage: 10~20 g/L
For heavy and thick fabric, reference dosage: 20~30 g/L
The best pH range of working solution: 6.0~7.0
Padding and dipping (Pickup: 70~90%) → 160~170ºC×60~90 seconds
- Dipping Process:
Reference dosage: 1.0~2.0% (o.w.f)
Bath ratio: 1:20
Process: 40~50ºC×10~20 minutes → Dewater → Drying (100~120ºC)
Attention
- Please do not expose it to air for long time and cover it in time after using.
- Please store in a cool and ventilated place and avoid sun exposure.
- Please avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat and cold conditions, which may lead to product delamination.
- If product delamination, please fully mix it evenly and test before using.
- If the product is frozen, please thaw it in a slightly heated state, then please fully mix it evenly and test before using.
